Yes she does

She is the UFC’s biggest Chinese star

And they are aggressively attempting to grow in that region. Dana is going to everything in his power to make her a star.

Marketing wise she is probably the most important fighter to the UFC Brass

The only other person is Marina Rodriguez. I'd rather Rose have to fight Rodriguez vs. seeing Weili Rose for a third time.
 
It’s just business.

Obviously they want that market. Building a PI over there and staffing it should have been a big clue. All they needed was a Chinese star. And Weili dropped the ball. So they are giving her a quick route back. Beating Joanna like that was no joke. The domination in the wrestling was very surprising to me. Joanna is famous for her tdd and ability to get back up quickly.

So it’s half earned/half not. But also remember.. Joanna would have been getting the TS with a win as well, and the first fight was close. And Joanna hadn’t fought in 2 years.

The UFC just wants anybody but Carla as the champ. And I’m sure they’re very happy that Weili is the one getting the shot.

Is this really true though? I'm sure Jon Jones vs Francis would put a lot of money into the UFC's pockets but UFC seems uninterested.
We constantly hear about fighters holding out because of shitty pay. The stars are what brings the money in.

The general consensus has been that the UFC is done building up stars. However, that being said, China is a huge untapped market so it makes sense
 
It's not "Dana White privilege" it is called being the clearest path to having a Chinese champion in their roster and so the key to that market.

There are other fighters that have had more favorable treatment.

Jiri got a TS after 2 wins in the UFC
Chandler got a TS after 1 win
Perriera is about to get a TS with wins over michailidis, Bruno and Strickland
 
Fuck no she doesn't. But the UFC IS MORE WWE in their pushing PPV'S. It's a popularity contest to get a PPV headlining not merit. Shame on the UFC, then again, Dana White NEVER MADE THE BIGGEST POSSIBLE FIGHTS THAT WERE WARRENTED
