Obviously TUF has had more title contenders and title holders, however it's been around longer.

Perez seems to be the first DWCS fighter to get a title shot. How do you feel about the different shows.

The is no logical reason fighters coming through one show would be any better or worse than fighters on the other show.

It’s the same people recruiting them.

Imagine if this seasons DWCS fighters were cast on TUF instead or if the TUF guys had to earn a contract through DWCS. Their fighting ability wouldn’t be any different

I think everything else being equal, DWCS will eventually beat out TUF as a recruitment vehicle for one simple reason: at the end of the day, TUF is a reality show, so the producers are looking for personality as much as they are for talent. DWCS producers are likely less driven to recruit big personalities, so the talent pool for them is much greater. I think both avenues are inferior than the tried and proven model of recruiting talent from regional promotions.

In TUF you get to see the fighters fight several times at least

Where do you think they get the talent from? The regional scenes of course.

The only difference from being a direct hire and coming through one these shows is that when you find through the shows UFC dedicates resources to try a familiarize you with the audience before your first match

    So far DWCS

As its more so about just the process of selecting fighters to fight in the UFC so more fighters get signed up

where as TUF only a few get the opportunity and its more about reality tv

As said previously it's the same fighters getting recruited. DWCS just gives them more flexibility to do it over different divisions.

Its hard to compare the two for me because one of them has been around for a lot longer. Both of these shows are really doing the same thing. Introduce the potential future star of mma to the world. One show does it with a fight, and the other a reality show with at least 1 fight.

Are TUF fighters usada tested ? If so I would say TUF.

Many contender fighters are obviously running full octane fuel. Going up to stiffer ufc competition while also adjusting to running clean seems like a big challenge. (Esp if you got a contract in part bc your medicine chest has more stuff .)

TUF since (once your on the show) all that matters is getting the wins. The Contender Series' criteria is impress Dana, which isn't exactly the same as elite talent or good fighter.

Im not convinced ether is all that effective. I care more about the level of competition a fighter has dominated, and less about a single showing/or reality show to decide who gets in.
