Does the rematch even make sense money wise?

No doubt both Conor & Diaz are big stars and will draw amazing numbers with a rematch.

But Conor V Frankie or Aldo will also draw amazing number and if Diaz Vs RDA that will also draw numbers.

I don't think Conor V Diaz will pull as much as 2 separate cards with either headlining.

You are wrong.

Conor vs Nate 2 will sell +1,8mil PPV regardless of the rest of the card, but because its UFC 200 it is going to sell +2mil.

Conor vs Edgar/Aldo 2 would sell 300k-500k less.

By what your saying and say Conor vs Edgar/Aldo 2 sells 1,4mil then Diaz only needs to beat 400k buyers to beat the 1.8mil mark

Well, lets just say that it looks like UFC 200 is going to break UFC 100 record, as long as Conor is on the card. But with a rematch against Nate it will sell hundreads of thousands of PPVs more, thats the obvious reason why they are making it.

No one cares about the Aldo or Edgar fights, certainly not the casuals.

This fight makes the most sense.

Of course it does. This fight is going to be huge.

Conor looked like shyt in that fight, he underestimated the effect the extra weight would have on his conditioning and he underestimated Nate. Still won the first round handily.

The guy is going for broke, people will watch.

Not in the long run, tons of die hards are bailing left and right.

Dana is such a dumb motherfucker/

We have idiots who believe Conor was @ a disadvantage moving to 170lbs.......and somehow Cabo Diaz was the favorite.

So yes it will sell good specially if Nate Diaz talks some good shit.

Diaz vs Conor will have a full shit talking media/press confrances...So it will be successful just on that fact alone.

Also the first fight was entertaining and people want to see Conor get KTFO again.

It only make's sense because of the money. Imagine what Nate is gonna do to Mcgregor with a training camp though.

Are you implying casuals would care Conor vs Edgar/Aldo 2 even close as much than Conor vs Nate 2? Lel.

People need to learn the difference between casuals and hardcores in terms of potential PPV sells. UFC gives zero fucks about hardcores bitching about cards with potential PPV sells over 400k, because all the money comes from casuals after that.

for some reason I believe daiz is goin to lose and the conor hype is goin to continue,, this time diaz will comply just as mendes and aldo did.. its all about the money and conors making it for everyone. that's IMO (conor could be the next Mcmann)

Jose Aldo has no right to say or do anything within this sport outside of Brazil ever again so we can all get that out of the way right now, but Frankie ... oh my fucking lord I'd be fucking pissed off if I was him right now!!!!

I don't think so.

Just as you say, imho UFC should build on each of these guy's drawing power separately. This way, it just overlaps.

Why because he won't take a fight on short notice in a higher weight division, give me a break. All the other champions are getting rematches left and centre, if they want to give the champions immediate rematches they should 1. make it fair and give all the champions rematches, 2. only give long weighing champions rematches or 3. only make rematches when it is was a debatable win. They obviously aren't going with 3 so to say Aldo has no right outside of Brazil is absurd, if anything Aldo should be the one that is pissed.

No. Those numbers you listed are just silly though. Especially for 200(a card that will likely include another title fight & be somewhat stacked.).

I don't care how stacked the rest of the card turns out to be, but I can't in good conscience pay for the same fight twice if Diaz/McGregor 2 is the headliner for UFC 200.

What a wasted opportunity for a milestone event.

Nate can talk frankie not so much and aldo cant talk at all.
