LHW seems less interesting in this day and age, as opposed to when I first got into MMA, and the only noticeable difference I can see is the lack of killers. It's starting to come off as a fat WW now, to be honest.

It's boring because unlike other brackets...
There is no new blood & no noteworthy resurgences.

    It's becoming the new HW.

Fat WW because of all the wrestlers right? I'd agree but I think even during Chuck Iceman's days there were plenty of wrestlers at LHW. I think a lot of the LHWs would benefit from a move to HW.

HW has a lot of KO power and is the worst division

It's less interesting because the lack of quality new talent. Some of these guys are still killers, but we're a long way off from the 2005-2007 era.

I don't think it's a lack of KO power, I think it's more of a style difference, there aren't as many striking specialists at LHW as there used to be and there are less guys with both big KO power and great durability.

    This is Sherdog's top 10.

Jones - Wrestling base, not much KO power.

DC - Wrestling base, ok KO power, lacks one punch KO power.

Rumble - Wrestler turned striker like Liddell, big KO power.

Gus - Striker, ok KO power, lacks one punch KO power.

Bader - Wrestler, has KO power but shaky chin.

Davis - Wrestler, no KO power.

Teixeira - Brawler/Grappler, durable, good KO power.

OSP - mostly same as Glover but not as good.

Liam McGeary - honestly haven't seen him fight.

Emanuel Newton - Wrestler, good KO power.

what lack of KO power are you talking about lol? Rumble is the most powerful KO artist on earth.

Bader, Glover, OSP are all finish machines these days. And Gustaffson is a swedish machine. (har har har har)

LHW sucks because the stupid UFC kept hyping old guys for so long instead of giving spotlight fights to good prospects, and because Jones had to be an idiot. Once JBJ is back in town and a few young guys come up, it will be fun again.

i think you did your best and came up with a weak thread - dont want to hate on you bc you did the best you can - there is no lack of power in that division, guys like rampage, johnson etc. just cant beat the better fighters

Lulwot? I feel sorry for you, if you believe that. Bader has NEVER been a finisher, and Glover is the ultimate can crusher

HW and LHW are, and always have been, the most interesting divisions in mma.
