Anyone know the answer to this?
He just entered a mandatory Korean military service so he won't be back for a while now.
He's supposedly training seriously while doing his senten... military service, so yeah, he probably plans on returning.
probably not till around summer of 2017 I'd imagine
I think he is about a year into his 2 yr thing. Last interview I saw with him he said he was training hard and the 2 yrs was a blessing in disguise because he was able to get two yes of training in without damaging his body in fights.
Yup and he's got so many good fights when he returns. He can fight anyone in the top 10 at FW and it would be FOTN worthy. I'd love to see him destroy Cub and I think a fight with McGreggor would be fireworks. Edgar would be tough but that would be an awesome fight as well. His fight against Aldo was getting super interesting before he got hurt. I don't think he'll be as hesitant if they fought again.
He's been serving for almost a year, now, I believe, so he shouldn't be away for much more than a year-and-a-half from now. He'll be back, and better than ever!
He'll remain a force to be reckoned with for sure. Can't wait to see him back.
Others that will have to join the military at some point are Doo Ho Choi and Hyun Gyu Lim I believe.
DHK and Kyung Ho Kang have done there's I believe.
FW will be more interesting for his presence. Can't wait.
Choi needs to serve his soon, while he's still very young. No sense in becoming a contender in the UFC, only to have to drop out for 2 years.
Kang has a while left.. He just got called in around February of this year. Sucks cause he's exciting as well.
Lim has served, Kang is doing his right now.
HE* did try to be on the UFN Korea Card but was not allowed. He's still actively coaching for sure. He was in his student's corner in road FC.
I just talked to him, the answer is yes, he does.
Can't wait to see him back. Still young and many good fights for him when he returns.
So if Zombie comes back and falls apart, does that mean Korean military are shit? Lol
Just to give you an answer, he is deemed unfit to be in the military due to the injuries that he incurred from fighting (kind of ironic). Therefore, he is just having a desk job that he commutes to.
You know how zombies are, he'll be coming back unless you take his head off.
Yeah, playing with guns is a killer training. Ask Joe Riggs.
Separate names with a comma.
