So im pretty skinny ( 5'11 and 152 ) i have very little muscle and im pretty lean, for some reason people always guess that i weight much more like im about 165, i have a friend who is 165 for real and same height as me and everybody thinks that he's way lighter then me, is there any relation between that and body types? I have a really long torso and quite short arms and legs, is that a factor in how much weight one seems to be?

Nope that's why all MMA fighters at a weight class look the same size

I don't remember the name of the show but there was an experiment on a show in which they got skinny people to gain weight. What they found out is that the Asian guy gained a lot of weight but it didn't show at all because most of the fat he gained was visceral fat (under the muscles). Caucasian subjects gained subcutaneous fat, so it showed a lot more. The issue is that visceral fat is much more dangerous. It would explain why Asians get health problems at much lower BMIs than other races. An Asian BMI of 22 is the equivalent of a Caucasian BMI of 27 in terms of high blood pressure and diabetes risk.

People used to think I was lighter than I actually was a few years ago (which was crazy because I was like 58kgs).

Now they think I'm heavier and I'm only 62kgs.

I'm pretty thick so people sometimes go a bit high with my weight. About 20lbs usually.

    1,72.. about 5'8 for muricans.

Just imagine Dominck Cruz if he had skipped a few bench press workouts.

Yeah and it change even for the same person. When I was in college I didn't lift but I was 5'8" 175 and looked like I was 140 lbs. Years later at 5'8" 145 I looked like I was 165. Something about the way my body stored fat changed.

Yea, I'm like 170, but people always think I'm 265 with 6% body fat and a hog that just won't quit.

when I lifted more I got the same exact thing. Also 5'11-6'0 and naturally extremely lean by genetics. when I was at my most jacked, other guys at the gym would guess I was 20lbs bigger of solid muscle than I actually weighed

I think people just arent used to naturally extremely lean guys with light bones. it fucks with their mind.
