The odds in this fight are astronomically lopsided, and I'm trying to justify putting a few bucks on Siver. Is there even an iota of a chance that he pulls out a win against McGOAT? I've got car payments to get to!

Only if he tanks Conor...and not even then.

    Conor bless him.

There's a better chance of Siver beating Conor than of Jones beating Cormier.

It's a fight so he's always got a chance but not really much. McGregor is getting another opponent who poses little to no risk while continuing to build his name/brand without risking his title shot.

Yes, Siver is a good fighter. I am not enough of a gambler to know when to spot value in the odds, but although McGregor is a strong favorite, an upset is far from impossible.

It would not be as much of an upset as GSP/Serra but a really small chance as well.

As in a snowballs chance in hell, meaning a very very small chance

Siver layed on Cub for a round, maybe he could lay on the GOAT

He's really only lost to legit guys (Maynard, Cerrone, Cub, etc.), so I would have to think that he's got your average underdog shot to win.

He's a tough vet who shouldn't be intimidated by the situation.

Sivers spinning back kick is legit as hell. If he lands it he could finish the fight.

I would say that his only path to victory is a relentless pace and takedowns to set up strikes. Siver's grappling is very underrated. On the feet, Siver is very competent, but Conor is a much more crafty and accurate striker, and he will find Siver's chin with an uppercut or straight left eventually.
Thing is, we haven't really seen Conor's groundgame, so it's not like an automatic win for Siver if he can take him down- but I figure that's his best chance.

Surprised you've never heard that one before. It's a pretty common expression (in North America at least).

A ton of influence from his Taekwondo black belt. I think he's the only UFC fighter to have a taekwondo base.
