Does Schevchenko speak better Spanish than many American born latino UFC fighters?

I noticed that Schevchenko was more comfortable speaking in Spanish than in English. Is she the first "Latina" UFC champion? (or does that title belong to Nunes?)

When you’re an international spy/assassin, you have to be multilingual.

She's the first Spanish-speaking women's champion.

She loosely falls under the category of Latina champ, since she isn't ethnically Latina. But so do the Brazilian champs, who are sometimes categorised as Latina.

And yeah lots of Latin American UFC fighters don't speak Spanish at all.

Absolutely. Proper Spanish.

First Latina woman from Kyrgyzstan.

Talented woman.

There is something about American water, the inability in general to speak a second language is staggering..

But same can be said for England and Australia.

Because English is the language of the world.

Not just Spanish speakers. Most English speakers in America don't speak it well.

Native Spanish speaker here. It depends. Masvidal has legit spanish, so does Cejudo. Tony Ferguson’s might be roughly comparable to Valentina. She definitely has an accent and messes up minor things, but overall it’s very good, but it’s not close to native level. It’s similar to her English. How does learning a language change your ethnicity though? That’s delusional.

Why would we? We only have to speak one language here and it’s American! Murica.

For most thats fine
But children of immigrants who have parents who speak only broken english and spanish at home should really be somewhat fluent in both just simply because its environmental
