Since teh UFC has pretty much given up on higher weight class fighting last, if Ronda is on a card with another Champ, she will probably go last

I think she main events over every champ except for Conor. If Jon Jones ever sobers up and comes back and becomes champ, I think Jones goes on after her

Unlike Conor, Rousey doesn't need a co-main championship fight to do big PPV numbers. She draws upon casuals, and putting a male champion below her would be a waste of business since 90% of the casuals who watch her wouldn't give 2 shits about Chris Weidman or Robbie Lawler or MMA period.

They'll put big names below her but not male champions. That said, if they do decide to have a male champion on the fight, they'd be below her. Chris Weidman with his laughable PPV buys without Anderson will never again headline over Rousey.

why wouldn't she. best human being in history...she deserves top billing on every card she's on.

other champs are DNBs in comparison to her drawing power.

    It depends.

I know the UFC used to stick to the idea that if two titles are fought for on one event, that the heaviest goes on last.

Ronda is special though because she is the biggest draw in the company.

Depends on the champ. I think they'd weigh which fight would be more exciting and make that the main fight.

As of today I would say yes. If Jones came back, he would be the main.

But in reality, having her as a co-main is good enough to bring the PPV numbers.
Even if people skipped the last fight, they've already bought the product, so fuck it.

She should be the ever co-main. Like a quick warm up fun fight for you to watch before the real fight. Like the Harlem Globetrotters playing before a NBA final.

And Conor/Mendes wasn't even for a real title and headlined over Rory/Lawler, so they really don't stick to their guns at all on that one.

Her last fight sold more PPV than Chad-Conor. And she didn't have a stacked card supporting her.

It's a sad day in MMA when we have possibly the best MW champ the UFC will ever have and he gets little to no recognition or promotion by the company. He's fought and beat the best of the best, fight after fight, and yet they promote the fuck out of a shitty womens division, and a champ that has zero contenders.

    Exactly.

    Good point.

I think Rousey would headline over everyone on the roster at this point then.

I actually think the UFC enjoys having a woman as their company Ace, and would flaunt it as much as possible because the media loves novelty and it creates good buzz for the UFC.

I never understood why the heaviest weightclasses should be last?
    Was this a rule?

Maybe a stupid example but why should a JDS vs Mir be later than a Lawler vs Condit?
