Take Paulo Costa and I for example. Both the same height with the same 39in leg reach... While other guys have the same height but a 43in Leg reach like Robert Whittaker and Romero for instance. Wouldnt the guy with the longer legs, Short torso be able to move better in and out. Side to side, etc. They can cover distance more easily and faster. Jump higher, Do High Kicks much more easier. Would also give them more power by allowing their shorter torsos to rotate faster. Thoughts?

Your leg reach gimmick sucks.

The most important measurement... In leg wrestling

Short legs long torso master race checking in.

I'm more interested if thumb circumference really matters in the scheme of things. Thoughts?

romero might be the best at using leg reach he has a insane oblique kick

Matters to folks like Carwin that like to cut height.

Jump higher... Shoot. Bethe might jump out the cage during her warm-up...

if kicking is a big part of your game then yes
the greatest current Muay Thai fighter (and greatest of all time to some) has a short arm and leg reach- both in absolute terms and relative to height and weight class.

It's unbelievable how he manages to control the range and outland his opponents who are almost always much taller and heavier than him.

Just because Saenchai does, doesnt mean everyone can though. Saenchai is a once in a lifetime talent

There are advantages and disadvantages to every physical attribute. The question is can a fighter use the tools he has to his advantage and can he find/exploit areas of advantage over his opponent.

DC is one of the best ever and he pretty much breaks the mold on all of the height/reach metrics but in a lot of ways he turns his size into an advantage -- clinchwork, wrestling, dirty boxing, etc.

DC and Frankie are the undersized GOATs. But then again, all of the current champs are small for their weight class.
