Does Jones still owe Rumble a fight?

Does he? If he comes back soon, should those two pick up where they left off and throw down?

Let the Bader/Rashad winner get the shot in the mean time.

Rumble was prepared for Jones at 187. That overhand that he hit DC with, was trained for Jon Jones.

What a terrible business decision that would be. A rematch with either Gus or Cormier for the title would be one if not the biggest fight of 2016. Could be the main event of UFC 200.

Jones has to fight the Cormier vs Gus winner, than Rumble

Of course he doesn't owe him. He's the champ, and Rumble recently lost his contenders match.

I think we get a repeat offense if Jones is scheduled to fight Rumble.

Rumble is what drove Jones to do maniac things.

Let the Bader/Rashad winner get the shot in the meantime

Fuck no. The king is back and requires his throne. Although I would feel bad for bader if he won and didnt get a title shot. But I cant see how even is better than average title run streak can supercede jones.

No. Whomever holds Jones' belt owes Jon a fight.

Jones doesn't owe nothing to nobody.

He does because he wants to do.

who should he fight for his first one back? or do you think he warrants a title shot right out of the gate? it's a question of timing and whether he's willing to sit idly instead of signing for a non-title fight.

Rumble should avoid the guy with the best submissions at LHW considering he's prone to being choked out. Jones doesn't owe Rumble anything but he does owe the UFC so if that's the fight they want then that's the fight he's going to take. Considering he never lost the belt and he's considered by most to be the P4P best fighter in the UFC, chances are he's fighting for his belt when he does return.

I'll be honest, when I woke up this morning, naturally the first thing I did was log on to this hell-hole.. And while doing so, I thought to myself, 'Jones should fight Rumble to get a title shot".. So, there you have it, TS! Im the only one that may actually agree with you, if you are indeed backing this idea.

I don't even care that much about that fight anymore, even with the one-shot KO threat that Rumble brings. Bottom line is that Jon Jones is probably the best fighter ever at breaking his opponents' spirits, and Rumble is one of the worst high-level fighters ever at getting his broken.

Jones, RNC, middle of Round 2. Next.

Jones and Johnson will meet up eventually...just not on Jones' first fight back

Rewatching the Jones vs DC fight and seeing how hittable Jones was, makes me even more curious as to whether Rumble could create similar opportunities and what he'd do with them.
