Regardless of how you scored the fight, he got outstruck and outgrappled for a majority of the fight. He looked very human and beatable. Full credit to him for hanging in there though.

Um...no. Of course not.

Jones probably doesn't even no where his aura is right now.

considering the aura was pretty much that he was untouchable...that is indeed gone.

He finally fought a contender that made him look human.

That doesn't change the fact that he's still the top of his class.

Props to Alex, he made Jon work.

No he doesn't in my eyes.

He had an aura of invincibility.

Regardless of what the judges said, he lost to Gus.

You can't lose a fight AND be invincible.

This is true but being the top of his class wasnt the extent of his aura.

everyone knows jon was the one who got beat up this night. who won on the judges scorecards is another matter.

His heart and chin should never be called into question ever again.

His invincibility should though because Gus nearly took him out.

His aura of invincibility is completely gone now.

Truth be told, Vitor kind of took it with the near armbar but that was just a split second move. Jon pretty much dominated that fight with the exception of the near submission.

Alex OTOH boxed him up, busted him up, took him down for the first time and arguably won the fight.

Nobody can possibly make the the argument that Jones is unbeatable anymore because he looked very beatable tonight.

Does this look like a guy who is invincible ? ... everybody is human

Not completely gone, no. Now he simply has a rival and rival's stock skyrocketed more than Jones' dropped.

Jones can regain all of it and more by finishing Gus when they meet again if he can manage it.

Right now it's like the case with Sonnen/Silva 1. Either way, no fighter that left the cage after the main event were anything short of great.

This.

And also, no one looked more unbeatable than prime Fedor and he lost in the end. So yea, no one is unbeatable.

lol, smart of him not to leave in the "Not quite human" shirt he walked to the cage in. Jon has always been well coached and managed.

Yes, it's completely gone. Jones is not the next Anderson, not by long shot. Jones has benefited from fighting smaller, older champions who are a shadow of their former selves. Jones is good, but he's not that much better than everyone else.

Gustaf showed some serious holes in Jones's game. This will give future contenders some insight into how to beat Jones. The blueprint is there for a guy like Glover to take, he could very easily beat Jones if he can stop him taking him down given his boxing skills seem to be more intrinsic than TDD.

even silva got ktfo too

stfu. Jones is not on Anderson's level, Anderson has NEVER looked like Jon did tonight. JBJ does a great Andy impersonation, but that's as close as he gets. He relies heavily on his top game, and if he can't take his opponent down he seems to be unable to finish fights.
