In her case it's because she's a wrecking ball. There aren't many of those around.Looks are all important, that's why UFC made a whole new division just for Cyborg.

You have to be incredibly dominant, at some point.

I guess it's a combo, you have to have a certain level of skill and then looks can push you above your peers. Even PVZ qualifies as having that minimal level of skill, she beat Herrig and there are equally or better looking girls who aren't good enough to reach her level (eg. Curran).
