    penn/gsp 2?

there was a ton of a hype behind that fight this one has a ton of hype
penn was a elite grappler ,cormiers kinda elite grappler and so as jones and gsp
striking was even on paper a little more toward gsp...cormier is decent striker and jones is an elite strikier.
    both had promos for days
    trash talk was in both

but in the end the better fighter won and it wasnt even a fight...

"Im gonna go to the death and im not even kidding."

But no not really, it feels more like the Jones/Rashad fight, which is what i think it ends up looking like.

Different forms of elite grappling. Penn's never been a Werdum threat off his back. Always been more of a top dominant, or RNC dominant BJJ artist.

In this fight, DC could potentially be GSP.

It won't look like the Jones/Evans fight, but it will probably be as anti-climactic. I'm predicting at least 20 minutes of clinch work.

this is kind of weird, but does anyone agree that it reminds em of

    SARA MCMANN v RONDA ROUSEY?

olympic wrestler, undefeated, supposed to be the one to challenge the champ. I don't think it'll be over quickly, but I could see Jones being too much.

Gsp got that guy in the crowd to kiss Penn, from there he sucked the energy out of him and the fight was his! but no Cormier is such a better wrestler than Penn its not even a comparison.

    Not at all.

This fight has Randy/Tito all over it.

The bigger fighter won GSP/Penn 2.

    Cormier is bigger.

Jones quits on his stool, you heard it here.

DC could very well win but there is no way I can see Jones quitting in a fight. Against Vitor he would rather have had his arm broken in half than tap.

This kind remembers me of Fedor vs. CC back in 2005, with two absolute excellent fighters, the winner will have a career defining win and I have absolute no idea who will implement his game in the most effective way.

    In terms of hype? Sure.

But neither GSP or BJ were undefeated. Also, it was BJ going up in weight to fight GSP. DC used to fight at HW and dropped to Jones' division so... yeah.

This is a unique fight in that both men are virtually undefeated, DC has never sustained a lot of damage in a fight while Jones has only had 1 tough fight in his career.

    Insane match-up. Can't wait.

Sort of reminiscent of Tito/Couture 1 in that a younger guy is fighting an older guy who is a better wrestler.

?? Bj vs GSP2?? That was a rematch after a controvercial decision. The only similarity is The huge sizedifference.

You must mean Jones vs Bader?
