Great point Sir

No it's still Jon Jones--especially if he beats Rumble by year's end. Cleaning out the ENTIRE light heavyweight division is better then beating 2 weeks-Mendes, Aldo, RDA. Look past the belts.

Depends on your definition of P4P really.

yeah he would. jon jones and every other fighter that has never fought in at least 2 divisions shouldn't even be in the discussion.

Do MMA fans really have such short memories?

What about people like Couture, Anderson, GSP, BJ Penn? They have all acheived more in MMA than McGregor. Dont let all the bright lights and loud noises fool you, he is still 5+ years and several title defences away from creating a legacy.

He needs some title defences. If he defends the featherweight strap against Frankie he will then be done with that division. If he beats RDA and defends the belt a couple times it can't be denied.

Had Aldo beat Pettis back in the day, then he would have been p4p #1. IM still mad as fuck that fight never happened

Little too early to consider him P4P #1, even if he beats Dos Anjos... Jones is still the one that no one can touch.

But for sure holding 2 belts in different divisions has a special place in history, as it has never been done before.

I think it would still be Jones, but McGregor would have a very compelling case.

Let`s say (hypothetically) he beats every champ in every division. First Aldo, then Dos Anjos, then Lawler, then Rockhold, then Jones (by the time Jones is champ again) and last but not least the HW Champ. But also he would never defend a title once. By your logic he would still not be the p4p best fighter. Come on, are you serious?

Not a fan of Jones, but i have to go with him. His resume far exceeds Conor's track record of opponents, and he's only 1 year older. I also believe that Jones would have more success at HW than Conor will at LW.

Nope. Jon Jones, Mighty Mouse, Rockhold (maybe) are all above him even if he beats RDA.

This poll was posted when the fight was booked and the majority said yes. It depends on the way he wins in most peoples' eyes.

Perhaps if JBJ dies.

But seriously, nobody can deny him if he becomes a 2 division champ. Maybe that would convince JBJ to go get the HW title.

We're talking current p4p right? If no, he doesn't even get to be in the top 10.

How many times is this same thread going to be put out there.

Can't wait until this fight is over.

No, he's not...

He's a champ, his legacy is secure, from now on its about enhancing his legacy.

2 weight champ will devastate his haters, they know it will cement his Hall of fame status after just 8 UFC fights and leave them looking like the fools they are.

Oh and I'm not really sure why you are bringing up BJ, Anderson and the rest, this is a P4P discussion, not a goat discussion.
