He's so good at taking guys down, and keeping them there, doing just enough to not get stood up. He really tests guys defense off their back, either they tire themselves out under his weight, or they succumb to the lunchbox fists of doom.. Brock's at his best when he's got that semi side control neck crank sort of position, where he can go body or head.

God only knows how Sable isn't as flat as a pancake by now...

No. Let's see him do that to Cain, Werdum, JDS, Overeem, etc...

Mighty Mouse, Maia, Cormier are all superior, and have more than just a couple fights to back it up.

Lol that's like saying I'm the best F1 driver in the world because I drove my crappy Honda Civic around the block

Give me a break. His ground game is way overrated and now it's well documented. Up until Velasquez fight, people were pretending he was some sort of demigod when it comes to fighting on the ground, and all that for no other reason than pounding out Mir who was renowned for his problems with wrestlers and overall inactivity in undesirable positions, due to his "I am working on the intricacies of details of maneuvers he still doesn't even know the names of." superior and smug attitude, and choking out a semi alive Carwin.

All those things considered, he should have at least taken Hunt down at the beginning of every round and proceed to beat him into a bloody pulp. Not managing to finish Hunt is no disgrace since he's an extremely tough man, but let's not pretend Brock hadn't fail when he didn't succeed in thoroughly dominating him.

No.

The best fighters he has ever held down are Hunt and Mir, neither of whom are particularly great on the bottom or known for springing back up. Miocic held Hunt down just as easily, if not more so, and Overeem did so to Mir.

If Brock had managed to take down and control Velasquez and Overeem then I'd agree with you, but he tried and failed abysmally to do so.
