does ariel hewlani still do mma journalism?

Hard to be a "journalist' when you work for the company you are reporting on.

I still enjoy Helwani but his news consists of trying to start fights and click bait headlines. He won't personally speak out on anything and lets his staff do the talking on his behalf.

Case in point, when do you ever hear him pick who is going to win fights? He won't say because there's a conflict of interest and he knows it but continues to try to play journalist.

How exactly does he work for the ufc?

He's a cool guy. Was just listening to the mma hour earlier.

He just predicated Conor to beat Aldo..

MMAHour is still pretty good most of the time.

I don't usually watched but I tossed it on yesterday because Kimbo is hilarious I love his interviews lol. Nice av btw.

Yeah except he only does obscure stuff for the UFC and Fox, truly falling on hard times

Yeah, but doesn't look as hot as in the past: too much plastic surgery
Would still bang, though.

I more/less agree with this. I personally think he is terrible, but so are most of these so called journalist who cover MMA. Helwani's demeanor reminds me of some female tabloid journalist in that it's all about dirt and picking fights and it's the first thing he goes to. He's also never critical of the UFC in any regard, and I mean...come on now.

If you consider reporting about one organization which literally controls his salary and still consider it to be objective reporting......

then yes i guess he does

lmao I see Ariel more often than I see Joe Silva, Sean Shelby and the Fertittas.

I'm happy that he and Karyn Bryant both got pulled up to FOX after working for years on their own. However, at this point, he is not a journalist.

Don't think I'd ever call Helwani a journalist. He's great at interviews but the only stories he's really broken have been fed to him - like the sale of Strikeforce.

But who is a good MMA journalist? Josh Gross but he's not working anywhere anymore. Brent Brookhouse isn't reporting anymore, he's editing at Junkie.
