meaning their wrists, ankles, and whatnot?

my right wrist has felt pretty weak since my last time on the mats which was last wednesday so it's been a week. i rolled with an advanced blue belt and he pulled out all the stops on me and opened up a clinic of submissions that i had never seen before nor trained for. he did this leg lock to me and my knee did a little pop and my ankle was sore for a couple days.

anyway, i was considering getting some medical tape for my wrist, but was wondering if it would impede movement or if it would even really help?

also, should i hold off on rolling with that guy again until i have a little more time under my belt? i've only been going for a couple of weeks and haven't learned a lot aside from the basics taught before rolling, none of which he was applying to me with his game. i would like to use every roll as a chance to learn new things, but that's tough to do when my bones hurt the next day and can't walk right resulting in a possible missed day from the mats.

I use a neoprene ankle brace and tape up my many messed up toe's and finger's.

What screwball school is letting blue belt heel hook white belts? Sounds like you need a new school bro.

nobody knew he was going to do that tbh. he may have thought that i had been around for longer. i roll with all the blues and purples in class. at some classes there are more blues than whites. if i roll with the guy again i'll let him know not to do that again as it screwed me up for the better part of a week.

How would he not know you're a white belt? Does he not have eyes? The damn thing is tied to your gi.

that's what i was thinking too. if he's there tonight i'll talk to him about it.

all in all my leg is fine, it's just my wrist that feels all jacked up. i imagine that is because i'm using my hands in ways that i haven't used them in a long time so the joints are experiencing strain that is new to them. my fingers were sore for the first week but i knew that was going to happen. if my wrist is still feeling weak tomorrow before class i'll wrap it up. i just don't have any tape for tonights class.
