A fighter betting that he loses is not ever fighting again if an AC hears about it. The promoter cannot bet ever.
Would the same apply if the fighter bet on himself to win?

Im guessing Dana bets between Joe Silva and the Fertitas quite often. This makes me wonder why Dana is somethimes so fucking pissed off if a certain fighter loses. Example Overeem vs Brown. Fucking tuff fight, a real crowd pleaser and the org won regardless of who won the actual fight, still Dana wass so bumped out after the fight and not happy at all. Maybe he just had high expectations for Overeem OR he just lost a ton of money.
The thing is they're regulated by commissions who are obligated to sanction fights (or not). That's based on the reasonable expectation of abilities between two fighters, such that on an arbitrary measure of abilities (what they use, I don't know), the fighters can be competitive.
I guess there could be something wrong if, for example, there was a pattern Joe Silva/the matchmaker was pairing up people based on information disclosed personally to him like injuries, but that's really far-fetched.
My thinking is heavy favourites and underdogs will always be there, but based on the parameters of sanctions, there would only be malpractice if the matchmaking pattern was demonstrably based on privately disclosed information that directly relates to competitiveness and if he was betting off of that.
Someone tell me if I'm wrong though. I may be.

I guess it's okay to bet for but not against a teammate. Don't really know how an AC could oversee and regualate this, though.

Joe Hogan has specifically mentioned betting.
