I have a wicked idea for an app that i think i can make money off of. I have zero knowledge of this, but i would like to know if anyone has any experience with making an app, or what i would need to learn in order to do it.

Tell me your idea and I'll let you know if it's a good one.

Thank you, it doesnt need to look good. This will be catering to a very niche market.

If you have no programming experience and you think you can quickly learn and develop an app, you are just wasting your time. You need a few months with good hours put in to learn the basic programming concepts and familiarize yourself with the Java API's to have a shot at it. Most people, even engineering students are horrible at programming. It is not something that anybody can do. I've seen many threads here where people just casually say that they are going to learn programming and I can assure you it is highly unlikely they would get anywhere. I am a software developer with over a decade of experience in Java and it is not an easy job by any means whatsoever even with an aptitude for it. It is a never ending learning process. Give it a shot but you would most likely have to hire somebody to do your work.

    lol.

"I got a million dollar idea, bro."

    "Yeah?"

"Gotta make an app for it!"

    "Have any experience?"

    "Nope!"
