Saw a commercial recently about Budweiser Prohibition. It's a non-alcoholic beer. In the commercial, it stated that it's the "non-alcoholic beer that actually tastes like beer", or something like that.

I like drinking beer but I'm definitely not a beer connoisseur. But does anyone actually drink it because they enjoy the taste of it? Getting a buzz was always part of drinking it.

Sure some beers taste better than others but I've never tried a non-alcoholic beer just because I wanted the taste of beer without the effects of alcohol.

Guess they figure there's a market for it

Jeff Ryan said it’s another option for people who like the taste of beer and want to hang out with their buddies.

“They may want the camaraderie of having a beer with . . . friends and neighbours, but they are not drinking alcohol, for whatever reason,” said Ryan

Actually drinking a beer whilst I write this, a blend called Valley Girl (ya, ya I know). A craft beer from Sudbury, Ontario, 5.5%.

So just curious if anyone actually does drink non-alcoholic beer?

I think most alcoholics avoid beer, non-alcoholic or not. A lot of "non-alcoholic beer" still contains trace amounts. I drank St. Pauli's once by accident and it wasn't that bad.

We did get a bunch of Frosh "drunk" when we were Seniors in college. We put them in a basement with a keg and said, "You're not allowed out until you finish this keg." We come back a few hours later and 90% of them were acting wasted. It was O'Doul's.

That's hilarious, how many had to drink the keg, and how long did it take?

My dad used to drink it but hes dead now......so no noone

I'd rather be an alcoholic then drink that

I love the taste of beer spanning many styles from German and Czech pilsners, to spicy and fruity Belgian beers, to sweet and heavy Scotch beers, to heavy, bitter English ales. This being said, I'll happily drink a non alcoholic beer called Gerstel as an alternative to my Warsteiner lager on a hot summer day. It's legitimately tasty for a clean but sharp and hoppy lager.

Most non alcoholic beers suck. Gerstel is the big exception for the ones I've tried. It won't match your favorites, but you might find it better than a lot of beers you aren't huge on.

It was like 15-20 guys, and I don't even remember if they even finished it. One kid we called "Puke" the rest of the year that legitimately puked. I think he just drank way too much liquid way too fast, but boy did we give him a rash of shit for it.

Lol at that keg story.
I just know a guy that had a drinking problem that comes out to watch the fights and drinks that .5 percent shit. Works for him though.

Damn I was in university when I first heard that, hilarious. "That cloud has a vein in it!"

that's pretty pointless, if you ask me. it's like people who drink decaf.

None of this happened

My grandfather is a mormon. But he used to not practice. So he likes beer, but can't drink alcohol.

So he drinks odouls

He also drinks caffeine free coke.

You could just stop lying on the Internet

Look jabroni, I'm not going to argue the validity of something that you can't verify either way. It's hilarious that you're actually trying to call people out on the internet for something that shouldn't affect your life in any way, shape, or form.

I realize you have trust issues from being cuckolded in every relationship you've ever been in due to your crippling micropenis and record-setting gyno, but stop crying and stay on topic.
