would love to see him fight and i think it will be a great addition

 
He's boxing today on the undercard of Chagaev vs Browne. I think he'll try to make it in boxing.
 
No, because if he fought in the UFC, he wouldn't be able to fight kickboxing or boxing, and he wants to jump around. He doesn't want to have to exclusively fight in one sport because of the contract, even though he has publicly asked Dana to sign him. It's a strange point in Spong's career. He needs to figure out what he wants to do. He got hurt before his next WSOF fight so I wonder when they'll have him back.

Correct, breaking his leg made him a boxer. Might be succesfull against the mountains Fury and Wilder.
 
I think that ship has sailed, he was talking about joining the UFC back when Rashad was relevant (for newbies - a REALLY long time ago!).
 
Hell yeah I would. If I was his trainer all I'm drilling with this guy is staying off his back and getting back up from his back and he'll take care of the rest himself. Picture Spong with Pride Mirko level TDD just deading MFers that can't take him down early.
 
LHW desperately needs more contenders, so yes, I'd like to see him in the UFC.

I'm not saying he's gonna be successful, but it seems he wants to do it. Not sure he'll be fighting at HW either.

anyone with peak CC takedown defense is going to be a very good fighter, that's not something people can really learn though. Mirko had a very particular talent for it.

No, because Joe Silva would probably match him with Pat Cummins.
