Where do you rank Volkanovski amongst the GOATS if he somehow becomes a double champ and beats Islam?

He'd have beat Max 3 times, Aldo, and moved up a weight class to beat one of the best lightweights.

Not quite yet. I think guys like GSP, Jones, Andreson still have done quite a bit more. And beating Islam I don't regard as such a massive win. He's champ, but let's be honest, he's beaten one top fighter. If he can defend the LW belt 3-4 time then were talking.

I think he can continue to defend the FW belt and beat Aldo's record and then set the LW title defense record, then we have a very unique scenario and he's gonna be up there.

Volk > Conor in terms of resume and it isn't even close. Conor never defended his title.

Holloway and Poirier weren't in their prime. Alvarez was stylewise a good matchup for Conor while Islam is a tough matchup for a smaller fighter moving up

Depends on what he does after the Islam bout. If he defeats him and moves up permanently to rack up defenses I’d say he’s up there in the discussion. If he stays at featherweight and beats the winner of Emmett vs Yair, Topuria, Allen, and Movsar Id rate that as a better legacy than Aldo.
