Do you think Ngannou comes back to the UFC?

UFC fighters cannot get into free agency in their prime.
Ngannou did it by sacrificing millions in purses for 3 or 4 years, and by going against UFC's pressure. And the UFC has since changed the sunset clause that allowed him to walk away free.

This was s a one off, the only UFC fighters who can reach free agency are middle of the pack journeymen on a losing streak or old stars with overpaying contracts (like JDS, Overeem).
Ares Macdonald, Corey Anderson, Ryan Bader, Phil Davis all left in their primes with prominent standings in the rankings. These were not middle of the pack journeyman or old stars.

I think Ngannou likes money and it motivates him the most. PFL probably isn't offering him much. Also after 0-2 in boxing, probably can't get that Wilder fight. UFC is only place for big fights for him now with Tom and Jones.

It's all up to what his PFL contract says. UFC would sign him for a worse offer than last time and lock him down for good. Still would feed UFC roster and bring the "lineal" title back.

He comes back and Ko's Aspinall. Then what? Gane fight again? He can pull off another boxing fight and make more than he'll ever make in the UFC if its against a well known fighter.

ngannou is only going to fight 2-3 times max in the UFC. every time he fights, it will be a huge draw. it just is what it is. he is a huge black guy, people like to watch him fight

if the UFC had ngannou they have basically two fights they can sell as the "biggest fight of all time" - Ngannou vs. Tom for the title or Jones vs Ngannou. Either one could move the needle for the UFC

Sure but old stuff, and Corey was notoriously unpopular.
They became free agent more because the UFC got rid of them than because they decided to leave, except maybe Bader.

The issue with PFL is not the money, it's the lack of fight offer. They have no one outside Nemkov who does not look particularly eager to fight Ngannou.

Why? It’s not like fans care about Ngannou, he basically killed the PFL lol. No one really cares if he comes back.
You’re a cheeky bozo. Your average casual fan can only name a single fighter from PFL but you blame the only popular name for destroying a company with not a shred of evidence to back and literally use your booty pinch ideology as why you don’t want to see him in the UFC. Sounding doofy and shit

I mean you are right, but it's also hand in hand. They know what battle of the giants did PPV wise, paid Renan 2M lol and Ngannou more. Maybe they do have deep pockets of investors, but they can't offer Ngannou 3x a year without blowing themselves up financially. Maybe you're right if they had Jones and Tom as free agents to use.

Also the Nemkov fight would be a weird matchup because Nemkov has been a LHW so long, probably good enough to keep it standing unlike Renan, but it's hard for me to see him blasting Ngannou on the feet or holding him down.

It does go hand in hand. And they have investors with unlimited money but paying close to 10M in purses is a thing, doing it to make Ngannou against a Tim Johsnon or Oleg Popov...no one in their right mind would do that.

Right now, the best ranked (on Fightmatrix) PFL HWs are Nemkov and Goltsov who are #9 and #10. Are these fights worth that much money? Certainly not.

PFL's only options are to either bleed some more money doing these fights or an amicable breakup with Ngannou.

The options for Ngannou:
1) take Nemkov or Golstov if it's offered, excellent reward/risk ratio for him but wats e of time for his legacy.
2) Box Wilder, for money and to tick off his bucket list
3) Re-sign with the UFC (if the offer is even on the table), hopefully fight both Jones and Aspinall and finish his career there. He would arguably be HW GOAT if he beats these 2.
