I think Kamaru Usman has a good chance to be one of the next TUF Alum to break into the top 10, he seems to be a better prospect than any recent winners. He comes from a great wrestling pedigree, he's extremely athletic (had to say it) and his standup is raw right now but he's working under one of the best striking coaches in MMA, Henri Hooft and has a bunch of talented guys around him at the Blackzilian's gym to push him to grow.

He's one of few Blackzilian's in the UFC that come from a high level wrestling pedigree and having that to fall back on along with ever evolving striking similar to a fresh off TUF Michael Johnson expect much better ground game. The one thing I can give to the Blackzilian's is they turn guys in to really talented strikers, and with the wrestling and evolving BJJ game Usman has, I think he has potential to be top 10 a few years down the road.

What do you guys think, is Kamaru Usman a guy to look out for a few years down the line at 170?

I believe he can. If he continues to develop his striking but not forgetting about his takedown/grappling game, then definitely.

I thought he was solid in the LFC when I watched him in a few events so it was cool seeing him make it through the TUF season.

    Yeah, he's already very good.

I'd rank him ahead of Magny.

Too early for me to say. If it was a less-stacked division, say, WBW, then yes. However, 170 is a murderer's row. Even guys that are unranked, like Jouban, Tumenov, Thatch, etc.

Holy shit, Rumble dwarfs Trujillo like it's his son or something. Too much athleticism and explosiveness in one picture.

They do have a 3 weight class difference but yeah still pretty crazy. They've got some beasts over there at the Blackzilians. I think they'll only get better as a camp.

Rumble looks like he could eat Trujillo if he wanted to. I think they feed him the souls of defeated fighters to keep him from consuming training partners.

The only TUF alumni I'm really convinced has great things coming, is Josh Samman - I've seen too many folk win and then get beat up and cut

    lol what?

Theodorou, Laprise, Warlley, Shoeface, Pantera are all legit...

TUF champions recently have all been fantastic talent. Shame Perez got KO'ed so quickly in his last fight.

Ferguson won TUF in 2011. That's like ancient history.

LOL, lets all ignore the question and comment on how huge Rumble looks!

I definitely think Usman could break into the top 10... the guy is legit.
