he would rather stay retired probably
Also a bigger fighter and bigger draw.

TS' extreme bias and lack of respect for readers is going to crumble this thread.
Following one of the great title fights in UFC history, many fans and media members alike called for an immediate 2nd fight between light heavyweight champ Jon Jones and Alexander Gustafsson. Glover Teixeira was granted his own title shot by Marshall Zelaznik in early September after a TKO win over Ryan Bader. Last night it was reported that Jones had a change of heart as far as fighting Gustafsson again, and Dana White told ESPN's Brett Okamoto that Jones will face Teixeira next year:
UFC president Dana White confirmed Jones' next opponent to ESPN.com on Wednesday. According to White, Jones personally requested to fight Teixeira next.
"That's what the champ wants," White said. "We'll probably have that fight on the Super Bowl card in New Jersey."
Wanted one thing...signed to fight Gus. Do you understand preference versus what he actually did?
Except Gustafsson vs Jones 2 was considered A LOT bigger fight in terms of PPV sells all the way up to the press brawl between Jones vs Cormier.
correct, he doesn't want to see this sight ever again...
JJ could have easily taken his relationship with DC into consideration, as well as DC's ability to promote a fight, unlike Gus.
Keep grasping.
Come on, there is a ton of evidence he didnt want that fight. Anyone who followed the situation during late 2013 to late summer 2014 knows this.
And yet he ate his words as soon as he was done with Glover. First says "no" to an instant rematch, promises to fight him after a one opponent, then eats that promise and tries again to get a different opponent.
What more do you want?

MMA Math 101 Fall Semester:
Jones Beats Gus
Jones Beats DC
Rumble beats Gus
DC beats Rumble
Thus, Jones, again, beats Gus.
And, if my math is correct, and it is; Jones beats Rumble
Except Gustafsson vs Jones 2 was considered A LOT bigger fight in terms of PPV sells all the way up to the press brawl between Jones vs Cormier. Right after the first fight when he said no to an instant rematch, despite the fact that it was seeing as the biggest fight of year 2014 should have already tell you that Jones didnt want to fight Gustafsson again.

Do you understand the difference between being forced to do something and wanting to do something? He didnt want that fight, get over it.
Jones vs Gus: September 21, 2013
Jones vs Gus II Announced: June 06, 2014

Jones was so scared he signed on to fight him within 9 month (That's not how ducking works)
The fight was suppose to happen even earlier. Jones didn't want it. Gus then got injured and then Jones got scared. He wanted Rumble vs Gus out of fear. Go back and watch the interviews.
