Do you think Jones even wants to come back if Gustafsson beats Cormier?

Man, what happened to putting even a little bit of effort into trolling?

This was just fucking awful.

he would rather stay retired probably

correct, he doesn't want to see this sight ever again...

Also a bigger fighter and bigger draw.

UFC "Jones wants DC"
Sherdogger "JJ doing everything he can to avoid Gus"

Gus has a lot of vocal fans that only post about Jones. That is how something that dumb gains traction.

Do you even follow this sport?

LOL, yes troll, unlike you.

Jones DID sign for a rematch with Gus.

GUS was the one who pulled out of the rematch, NOT Jones.

Jones stated that he was more interested in fighting Cormier, because he--like everyone else in the world, including all the bookies--considered Cormier to be the biggest challenge.

Jones ALREADY fought and BEAT Gus.

Jones has fought arguably the toughest murderers' row of fighters over the last 5 years.

The notion that he is too afraid to fight Gus is troll rubbish/insanity.

TS' extreme bias and lack of respect for readers is going to crumble this thread.

Except Gustafsson vs Jones 2 was considered A LOT bigger fight in terms of PPV sells all the way up to the press brawl between Jones vs Cormier. Right after the first fight when he said no to an instant rematch, despite the fact that it was seeing as the biggest fight of year 2014 should have already tell you that Jones didnt want to fight Gustafsson again.

Following one of the great title fights in UFC history, many fans and media members alike called for an immediate 2nd fight between light heavyweight champ Jon Jones and Alexander Gustafsson. Glover Teixeira was granted his own title shot by Marshall Zelaznik in early September after a TKO win over Ryan Bader. Last night it was reported that Jones had a change of heart as far as fighting Gustafsson again, and Dana White told ESPN's Brett Okamoto that Jones will face Teixeira next year:

UFC president Dana White confirmed Jones' next opponent to ESPN.com on Wednesday. According to White, Jones personally requested to fight Teixeira next.

"That's what the champ wants," White said. "We'll probably have that fight on the Super Bowl card in New Jersey."

Wanted one thing...signed to fight Gus. Do you understand preference versus what he actually did?

Do you understand the difference between being forced to do something and wanting to do something? He didnt want that fight, get over it.

JJ could have easily taken his relationship with DC into consideration, as well as DC's ability to promote a fight, unlike Gus.

Keep grasping.

Why wouldn't he? He already beat Gus.

Come on, there is a ton of evidence he didnt want that fight. Anyone who followed the situation during late 2013 to late summer 2014 knows this.

And yet he ate his words as soon as he was done with Glover. First says "no" to an instant rematch, promises to fight him after a one opponent, then eats that promise and tries again to get a different opponent.

What more do you want?

Dude Jones won, it is time to get over the saltiness already

MMA Math 101 Fall Semester:

Jones Beats Gus
Jones Beats DC
Rumble beats Gus
DC beats Rumble

Thus, Jones, again, beats Gus.

And, if my math is correct, and it is; Jones beats Rumble

Needs more Hamill, imo.

Wanted means nothing. He did sign. You seem caught up, not me.

Will Gus retire it Rumble is his first title defense? No because these guys fight for a living. If Jones comes back he will fight the champ. He will want the belt/money.

No, if he doesn't get big fights, then he wants to get a real job, like all of us have.

Jones vs Gus: September 21, 2013

Jones vs Gus II Announced: June 06, 2014
http://www.ufc.com/news/jones-gustafsson-2-sept-27

Jones was so scared he signed on to fight him within 9 month (That's not how ducking works)

Get those facts out of here! Obviously wanting to fight an undefeated Olympic HW wrestler means you're ducking the guy you already beat...even if you already signed for the rematch but the other guy pulled out. Jones must have known Gus was going to get injured because he can see the future and that is why he signed for the rematch knowing he wouldn't actually have to fight him
