Aldo made it look difficult, reflecting the elite caliber of opponents he faced. How easily could they wrestlefuck Conor?

I don't think that easily... Cub was outwrestled and held down by Siver at times before finishing him in the 3rd.. Conor was throwing caution to the wind and Denis wasn't able to get him down for more then a second from an off-balance shot, then Conor bounced right back up. Now Cub did get "wrestle-fucked" as you call it by Edgar so there are more elite wrestlers in the division no doubt, but I'm sure Mcgregor is aware, and when wrestlers are saying they want to wrestle you, they've already admitted defeat on their feet which makes the takedown that much harder.

Can Connor finish Ken Flo, Mendes, Swanson or Lamas?

    Doubt it.

He could beat some of em though.

I think that Mendes and Lamas would give him all sorts of trouble. Truly wanted to see either one of those, and not him knocking off mediocre competition but so be it.

I think Conor beats everyone except Frankie and maybe Mendes.

He'd finish Hominick, Ken Flo, Cub, KZ,

This is what I think as well. Both are tough guys that are hard to finish, in addition to their strong wrestling skills. Edgar is another guy who comes to mind as a rough match up for McGregor. All of them have the wrestling to make Conor hesitant to get comfortable on the feet and the durability to last when he does connect.

If Conor had fought and beaten one of them, it would've answered a lot of questions about his ability to handle a strong wrestling style in the octagon, but I suppose if he makes it past Aldo we'll see him fight one or more of those men eventually.

He'd probably finish the likes of Hominick, KZ, Faber, etc.

I love How you guys are calling Dustin, Siver and Halloway mediocre fighters. Dustin was #5 on UFC ranking and #7 world wide Siver was #10 and Halloway was around 15. That is not even close to worst path to a title shot. It is better Mendes' second run.

"us guys" are not saying he beat total cans but we would have loved to see him fight Lamas or Mendes after the Dustin fight to build up the competition. He didn't exatly went through a murderers' row on his way to a titleshot.

Yeah, let's see all contenders fight each other to the day there's no contenders left cause they've all already proven to be not worthy by losing.

Your rankings are wack. They're all good fighters but none of them were contenders.

Edgar - great fighter, but he learned to box in 2010 and Conor hits a lot harder than Maynard, his comeback tactics won't work.

Mendes - The size difference is too much to overcome, he's finished early. There's no reason to believe someone as athletic and dedicated as Conor can't stuff the takedown.

Lamas, KZ and Hominick are all finished before the bell rings in the third.

Just because he didn't fight the guys you want. Doesn't make his opp's mediocre. I would have given the shot to Edgar. You don't see me down playing his wins to make my case for that.

But they are mediocre. He hasn't fight a single top fighter yet.
