What more do I want? For serious? Beat Jon Jones. I guarantee it's what he wants most too.

But nah, I don't consider him the paper champ. He's the best LHW available to fight.
 
yes he got handed the belt without being able to beat the lineal champion. virgins will come out and say that it was because of steroid and etc,but deep inside they know that jones would beat dc 10/10

Like Bones, he beat everyone else of note in the division, so no one else has a better claim to the title than DC now that Jon fucked himself outta the picture. If anything it's kinda pathetic Jon isn't confident enough to fight clean against a guy he has every advantage under the sun over.

I never thought of DC as a paper champ.

I always considered him to be a legit champion. How was it ever his fault Jones was a fuckstick ? Even though the first stripping had zero to do with PEDS. If you do something so bad that a shit show like the UFC yanks your belt. You know it’s fucking bad.

As an aside. I thought the boos the guy used to take and the bullshit in here, was pretty fucking lame, tbh.
 
DC is an all time great (I HATE how GOAT is tossed around these days)

Was/is he THE best? No. But he slayed some damn beasts. He's a genuinely good wholesome person, too.
 
Nah Cormier is a beast. Shame he has to get attatched to Jones so hard considering what a fuck up Jones has been. Dudes clearly better than every other LHW not named Jones. I honestly hope he gets past stipe just to get out of jones shadow. The mans earned it.
 
Not at all.

3 times he got booked to fight Jones.

Once a test showing he had a testosterone level under half that of the average 100 year old.
Once cancelled because tester positive.
Once overturned because he tested positive.
 
Cormier isn't and never was a paper champ.
 
He's the legit champ in my eyes, I mean Jon fucked it up. But he'll always be second best.

I always love it when people say Jon is a cheat, he won because of PED's. PED's didn't help Dan Henderson, Josh Barnett, Bigfoot and Mir in their fight with DC. Shouldn't they have won because they were on it? No, DC dominated them because he's that good. Jones is just better.

Without Jones being clean, it could be looked at like:
Rua is champ until losing to Hendo
Hendo vs Machida
Machida vs Phil Davis
Phil Davis vs Anthony Johnson
Anthony Johnson vs DC

That is how the belt would have moved if you take away a dirty Jon Jones.

In other sports you get DQd and the medal goes to the guy who didn't cheat to win. In MMA both the cheater and his fans claim he's "still champ". No you're not, silly goose.

difference being in other sports winning means you put the ball in the net one more time or ran 0.2 seconds faster whereas in mma one guy is dead unconscious on the ground and the other is flexing so accepting the dead guy as the champion is much harder to do
