    Hi,
I usually stop rooting for a fighter as soon as he does something stupid. I liked Khabib, but after his comment on the French Prime Minister, I inmediately hope he get's KOd asap. Same with Greg Hardy, Conor and other guys that assault people (not being in the cage).

Are you guys able to seperate the fighter from it's views and flaws, or do you find it hard to be happy if a guy like Hardy wins?

Are you really expecting a bunch of guys whose job is to take hits to the head for our entertainment to have sound judgment? If they did, they wouldn't be in this sport.

Depends, TS. I'm still a fan of Rampage, but can't stand JBJ. I despise Conor, and used to hate Nick and Nate Diaz, UNTIL Nate fought Conor. I became a fan then. Chael did some shady things but I still like the guy. War Machine? F that dude. Thiago Silva? I still like him. I guess it depends on the severity, not to mention whether or not I was a fan before.

There has to be enough skill to go with the controversy, so someone like Greg hardy is not on my radar because he has that shit but then isn't that great of a fighter. Conor was never my friend but for a long time his fighting back up his nonsense, but up to the khabib fight he wasn't worth the amount of "controversy" he was creating and it made me check out from his drama.

But I'm one of the guys who hates all the drama and even tweeting and stuff, some sherdoggers live for that and care more about it than the actual fights so they would be the ones generating views for that kind of stuff.

The only controversial ones I can't root for are the plain - view cunts.

It depends. I usually try to seperate the in-cage performance from political stuff. There are propably a lot of fighters with shitty world views that i dont know about and im not willing to go into extended research about it.
But there is like levels to this. I for my part cant support women beating criminals or ultra konservative muslims who support dictators.
That has something to do with moral integrity. On the other hand im Not childish enough to believe that them getting knocked out would change anything.

    as far as fighters go.
fucking mike tyson is going to fight this month. morally he was/is a terrible human.
    im absolutely going to watch.

fan of bryce. hate mostly everything he says when he is not talking fighting or hunting/fishing.
not a fan of hardy in life. but im absolutely curious to how high his ceiling is in mma

people forget that some fighters are just violent humans. its not a sport for every fighter, some of those guys dont see any sport to it, besides the thrill of the kill

Mostly I stick w fighters I like to the bitter end. If they pop for roids I might change my mind but that's usually the only thing.

Depends how it all happened. I can understand a conor fan not abandoning him because he didn’t start out that way, and holding out hope it a phase etc...

Greg Hardy, we knew what we were getting from day 1 and I’ve always rooted against him.

I root for the best mma fighter in human history. That's why I'm rooting for Khabib.

Yes, in some cases. I have no problem rooting for somebody like Henry Cejudo or Ronda Rousey who are only controversial for saying stupid things. When it comes to fighters who are actually guilty of some malfeasance, I can root for those who have clearly left it in their past (e.g., Matt Brown). And I could root for Thiago Silva just because I enjoy his best fights that much.
