I used to let my 6 year old daughter watch UFC with me but I had to stop when her teacher said she was holding kids against the wall.

My boys only 1 so his only tv watching currently is Baby Einstein and Super Silly songs.. but no I dont plan to let him watch. At such a young age they cant comprehend violence and differentiate the circumstances in which it occurs. Hence the holding kids against the wall at school remark.

Watching UFC Late at Night with my dad, while trying to hide the DVD's from my mother is one of my favourite childhood memories. :D

When I have Kids, I'll let them watch if they want to.

I don't let my daughter watch it. She doesn't like it and the violence bothers her..

Its impossible to monitor what kids watch these days. They go to the library and watch anything they want. The school district hands out chrome books and they go to the illegal movie site and watch every R rated movie and porn scene they want. It is a sad time to raise children. We forbid our child to use the internet through grade school and we let him watch nothing but kids shows. He went to middle school and came home crying because the boys showed him videos of bestiality. This culture is destroyed by perversion and the internet. A man had to drive to a porn shop and show ID and go in shame to satisfy his lust before the internet, now a child can see every perversion known to man in the privacy of their bedroom on the "smart" phone.

This is something I’m always scared of. So how did you and your child deal with it once he got exposed? What has been the result?

Yep, he’s been watching since 2yrs old. He’s 5 now. I grapple so he is use to seeing people getting subdued.

We have mats on the floor and and he’ll call me out to “fight”, where we spar and roll around until I tap out. He is NOT a violent kid and is very smart with math. Starts kinder this August and plan on putting him in grappling at 6yrs old.

I dont see the big deal, he goes to pre-school and is the nicest kid there. But he knows a fight involves strikes and grappling and he will take your back with the quickness.
