Do you have any idea how much BJJ/Wrestling would dominate if MMA went 'bare-knuckle' again?

It's not actually bare knuckle, they have some kind of wraps.

But going back to bare hands, like it used to be, with the standard of wrestling and BJJ now present in MMA would mean like 80% of fights would end in submissions. It would be awesome. Try throwing hard punches to the skull and you better knock your opponent out the first time you connect or you're going to be fighting with a broken hand / damaged wrist.

Grappling would utterly dominate, like IRL.

While we’re at it lets get rid of mouth guards and cups and see fights end real quick!

Maybe throw in a club or a knife for title fights. No controversies ever again and no immediate rematches :D :D :D

You remove gloves and suddently everyone is getting submitted left and right? Lol I don't think so.

Without gloves I assume most fighters would strike with the hard part of their palms (lower part right above the wrist) instead. At least high level fighters that care about longevity.

I don't think the difference would be that big.

So basically what you're saying is Bas Rutten would be World Champion again?

The Vale Tudo Era actually saw many BJJ dudes going full GNP, without even trying to pass the dude´s guard...

Watch IVC,WVC, BJJ vs Luta Livre challenges...

Pretty rough...and gruel... More headbutts than sub attempts...

You're definitely going to see submissions rise. You have palm strikes opening up submissions that are easier to apply without gloves.

Clinching would be 10 times more effective, if there were no gloves hindering the grip.

Fitch would have been submitted by Maia for sure, without gloves.

Fitch may have been submitted by BJ as well.

If we had 1 15 minute round instead of 3 5 minuters and stopped ref stand ups / break ups it would go up to 90%.
