So I just got sick and I feel very sore, as if someone is pulling the flesh from my bones. Headache and sore throat. I think its the cold or flu and I have class tonight. The class is usually intense and everyone is drenched in sweat. So is it better to rest it up or sweat it out?

Imo, you're an asshole if you come to the gym sick with something you could spread to other people.

Rest especially if it seems infectious to other people. Training while fucked up won't help anything.

I train MT while sick as much as you use the search function ;)

What they said. Rest, dude. You don't want to make it worse and you REALLY don't want to get anyone else sick.

... right?

Please please, for the love of God, do not participate in any sort of combat sports if you are currently contagious. I doesn't matter if its the flu or ringworm, if you are likely to give it to someone else, please be courteous and wait until you have it under control.

Would you like to grapple/clinch with someone who is sick?

I did use the search function :D some dude even said his coach told him to grapple when sick and "sweat it out". Anyways thanks guys.

I had a flu last week and didn't go training, not just to avoid infecting my dojo mates but to avoid embarrasment if I pass out, lol.

I once partnered up with a guy who got sick about two rounds into padwork. He said he drank something before heading to the gym. I asked him what he drink, and he said he didn't know.

How do you not know what you are drinking?!

He went home and the instructor gave me 1-on-1 training :icon_twis

He just might not want you to know he took peds and his body didn't take it as expected, lol!:icon_twis

If that is the case, I hope that he is taking them to increase brain function. :icon_twis
