Do you get overwhelmed by nostalgia sometimes?

Those kids are playing streets of rage II. An amazibgside scrolling bash em up game. Man the early mid 90s had cool video games and still had arcades.
I love streets of rage and during my recent nostalgia spree I constantly listen to the soundtrack of that game and various remixes. Really takes me back.

Brought the stilts up from the basement, the wife is making sloppy joes, later it's slinky races down the stairs.

I just saw the original Mortal Kombat gameplay video on Youtube then I remembered going to the mall and my mom bought me a copy of Mortal Kombat for the Super Nintendo. Nostalgia hit me hard.

That's awesome. It's w weird up best and kinda silly yet serious soundtrack. I like the weird stuff all the characters say. It's drivel but they are almost words and they and they say what you want them to say

There is still a video store in the town I live in. It's the a chain called Family Video. I go there once and a while and rent UHD Blu-rays. They are only $2.50 for new releases and $1 for nearly new. The quality of them is leaps and bounds better than streaming. They also have a video game section where they rent XB1, PS4, and Switch Games. They even have a porn room in the back:D

It's a huge store too.

The last video store in my neighbourhood just went bankrupt, very sad day

Definitely, went back and watched some old early 90s wrestling a few months back for nostalgia reasons.

Kinda unrelated but i kinda envy kids that are born now.

They will see crazy shit technology wise

Yes all the time. I look at my life in the 80s and 90s, a care free soul with hair. Now it's just.....sad. Kids, bald, lockdown. I don't know which is worse. The lockdown or kids 24 hours a day. Plus add bald ontop of that it just sucks.

Favorite items:
1.Nintendo
2. VCR for ET and aliens
3. My Nighmare on elmstreet poster
4. Was care free

This took me back. I remember being insane over things that likely made my parents more insane: Marvel trading cards. They were like baseball cards, but nerdier. I did get a complete set one year lol.

I'm a nostalgia FIEND brah just hit me up with some sweet sweet nostalgic

Fuck yah this video really makes me feel feelings

Ohhhhhhhh fuck I wanna eat turkey din dins

Grunge fans of the 90s woulda been so mad if they knew eddie was going to be the last one alive lmao
A lot of truth in what you said there.

As a kid I never knew what axel shouted in SOR2 when he did his uppercut but I always imitated it. Apparently it was “grand upper!” !

check out “synths of rage” on YouTube. An amazing remix playlist of all SOR soundtracks.

Axel said with a pow.

Sometimes but I use it as motivation to make that day even better as you don't want to live for the past. Thats when you become a boring and old jaded person.

If you ever find yourself saying stuff like

"new X sucks"

"X isn't the same anymore"

"I miss the X days"

"X was better in Y"

You need to immediately change your environment and mindset and try something new or you will be "old man hells at clouds"

I cringe so hard when I meet people in their 30s that are already ancient in their mindset and live and act like retirees. They get so jaded and pessimistic about everything that they didn't grow up with.

It means you are no longer living life
I agree.

I cant stand it.

Ok why dont ya jump in your grave, grandpa!

Yes I am really too nostalgic for my own good.

I miss the Street Fighter 2 ambiance in the Arcades and how excited I am every saturday morning mom would drop me off at the mall.

Now I do play with the MAME.

But the ambiance and atmosphere of 90s mini Amusement parks inside malls is some thing the smell of popcorn and hotdogs and the Smell of Fresh paint at Video game area that was expanded because of the popularity of Street Fighter 2.

How I miss those simple times to the point it makes me depress.

My mind veers more into "Did my past actually happen or am I imagining it? Was that my life? Do I really remember these things?"

absolutely, i've been watching movies from my childhood with my son lately

During Sandlot, Little Monsters, and TMNT the Movie I felt super nostalgic
