Like bodybuilding and crossfit, MMA has such a history of ultra high PEDs abuse, how can it's history ever be taken seriously ?

Mark Coleman, Mark Kerr and Ken Shamrock amongst many others built their careers with their freakish strength

We aren't talking a few scoops of tainted supplements here, we are talking cycles of hardcore steroids, like Dianabol and Anadrol etc

Even today, the drug testing is a joke

Not really. Most fighters juice. Some just come from a background that taught them how to not get caught

Not really, because every sport has had their share of PED issues through history.

You say the drug testing is a joke but it's a thousand times more intensive than pretty much any other sport.

do i care about juicing? no. do i care about fair play? yes. in an ideal situation i want all the athletes to freely use or not use PEDs at will. on the other hand, i don't like how certain athletes get passes (Jon Jones) even though it's rather clear that PEDs were having a huge affect on their performances while other athletes get slammed with multi-year bans.

No. Taking a stance and being like, "everyone should be clean!!! The playing field needs to be even!!!" sounds great, in theory, but in actuality, just let them juice.

mark coleman and mark kerr were olympic level wrestlers. Ken Shamrock was not that big, in his early career, and was actually one of the lost well rounded of the guys at the beginning

Most suspected it but wasn't sure just how many and to what extent. I care but nothing changes the history for me. I was as big of a fan as anyone of Coleman when he first came to the UFC. Also a fan of other juiced guys but enjoyed those times, those fights and those fighters.

MMA at this moment in time does have more extensive drug testing than the NFL, NBA, NHL, and MLB. Those sports have unions that require players to be made well aware of any testing before the players take them, or else the testing is considered inadmissible. Those leagues also have special categorization for players that pop for recreational drugs that allow the league to keep that information unknown to the public. USADA on the flip side doesn't have to inform anyone of their random testing and regardless of what you pop for that information will be make public. Those are just facts.

Surely there were no other sports in the late 90s where athletes were using the juice

McGuire and Sosa going for the homerun record hitting the ball to the next town was the best period of baseball ever. Think about it...

Peds have been a part of sports for a long time. What I care about is that since testing came in that the cheaters get caught and punished properly. That is clearly not the case in the UFC. USADA is garbage. There should be no snitching, etc. If you’re going to test then treat the cheaters the way they deserve after they are caught. This tainted supplements nonsense is the biggest joke ever.

I do care. If you get busted, you're roiding harder than those who don't therefore; unfair advantage. If you get busted like Jones, you should be permanently banned.
