Do you believe the next president should fight for Obamacare?

    Did it hurt you? Helped?
Sounded like a big plan during the elections, end up with alot of people complaining, either it was good or terrible.

It needs to be expanded and make it become universal healthcare.

In short, basic healthcare needs to be a human right and our next president should work to that end.

Hurt me by raising my rates for the same amount of coverage

Hurt my Highschool education friends by fining them for not having healthcare, or the ones that chose to get it had to pay in monthly but chose not to go to the doc anyway because they felt they still couldn't afford it

Universal healthcare longings for aside, is there anyone who benefited from the specific Obamacare before and after?

No, it shouldn't be a basic right. Health care costs money. If you can't pay for it, too bad. I'm not paying your hospital bills.

    Obamacare is a failed compromise.

It is time to accept nothing less than single payer universal healthcare.

That argument has never made a lot of sense to me. Besides the fact that money is an arbitrary instrument for trade and therefore has nothing to say about whether something should be a shared right (resources tell that story, and our health care resources are yuge), it's a matter of deciding what to compete for. It makes sense to compete for the best doctors, the best surgeons, the best preventive medicine, the best specialists, etc. It doesn't make much sense to me to compete for a family doctor. In fact it makes so little sense, the people who are the poorest barely have to compete for basic health care at all (unless they live in certain republican states). If we can share basic education, heavily share water and power, roads, etc., then it makes sense to share basic medicine.

My wife lost our insurance do to Obamacare. We got a letter from her employer saying that.

Obamacare will not last long. It's not sustainable. It will fail.

Melania Trump once said “A Nation should not be judged by how it treats its highest citizens, but it's lowest ones”. A civilized society does not let its destitute die on the streets while its public servants dine in luxury restaurants. Can you truly call your nation great if it turns away from its needy and helpless with callous disregard? That's not an America to be proud of.

My premium went up and I have a $5k deductible, so insurance doesn't chip in until after I have out of pocket $5k expenses first. That's fucked up, especially considering I see the monthly premium bill have all sorts of exchange fees, etc.

By not actually having insurance chip in for me until I reach big deductible, I'm subsidizing all sorts of freeloaders.

Well, it's not as if someone promised us that our premiums would go down an average of $2500/year. Oh, wait...

If you like your plan, you can keep your plan. Period!
