Do you agree that Tom Aspinall can't be a big star because he will never be able to be a two division champ?

I made a good profit betting Aspinall vs Pav. Speed kills. Can't coach it.
Ballsy bet. Aspinall took a short notice fight while Pavlovich was training to be the backup for the title, both guys have power. I wasn't going to touch that one and also I hate betting on HW fights unless its a clear squash match.

The problem right now with the HW division is that it's very uncompetitive outside of 2 or 3 ma What are your thoughts?
Tom could contact Christian Bale (another Brit) and do the samevrhdit that Bale did for his role in the Machinist .

Y...voila!

205lb Aspinall
185lb Aspinall
170lb Aspinall

Tom champ in every division.

Nah, there's just a big skill gap between them. I think that's what people maybe don't understand. Most HW's have power. Pav maybe more than most but the reality is that when most HW's land clean on each other someonenis getting hurt and likely finished. Not always, but more often than not. The difference is that Aspinall is just WAY more likely the one that's gonna land clean because he has better speed, timing, accuracy, feints, and footwork than other guys that size. Especially speed. Like I said, you can't coach it and other guys can't replicate in training against a guy his size. Because guys don't really exist that are that size but move and throw like he does.

Doesn't mean he's invincible or anything close. He could lose. But he has advantages that are a huge challenge for any opponent he's gonna face.

No. It's HW. He would be the baddest man on the planet. Who gives a shit about the smaller people's belts.

Heck no. A dominant Heavyweight champion will always be a big star because he dominates the biggest division.

Even when he fought Pav though he got clipped when he went in to exchange, just saying it's playing with fire, atleast to me for betting HW. I know Fedor made his goat status from speed at HW, and it seems to make a huge difference when it comes to separating the good from bad fighters in that division.

lmao who honestly gives a fuck about double champ nonsense. the mma plot is so lost these days its pathetic

he can't be big because he's boring. where's his personality at? dude has a arm tattoo and personality of a highway lamp post. what he needs to do, what the UFC needs to do, is just have him continuing to smash the "weak" HW division. people barely know who he is. his last win is against curtis blaydes almost a year ago. thats a lot of social media videos that are not happening of him fighting that whole time. just like chandler. he needs to take fights and that will put the pressure on jon and make aspinall more popular. no one knows who tom aspinall or curtis blaydes is. more KOs solves that. everyone know Poatan. Poatan no speak english. Aspinall speak english. Aspinall not cool. That why. Nexxt.

Just have Dana line up a list of scrubs for him to knock out. Will watch.

Then do a super fight with Big Frank.

Lack of competition in one of the weakest divisions in MMA history is what will keep Tom Aspinall from becoming a star or GOAT if it's even in him.

If Tommy loses to Jones-

He will be forgotten faster than Gan without a Netflix movie deal

People on here will turn their backs to him and say he was terrible

Happens everytime

Not really. Gane is forgotten because he hasn't won any fights. If Tom loses to Jones, then goes on a win streak, he'll still be relevant.

If he could beat Jones, he would be a star. Too bad Jones will not fight him.
Bullshit sherbro

JJ is not a star as big as before so beating him don't make someone else a star himself

Tom is lacking elite skill level - handsomeness - big names to beat to become a star

JJ has reached the glory beating the shit out of the best of the best, the scariest mofos that the MMA could offer for generations.

Doesn’t have much personality, while a good fighter his style isn't anything crazy like Anderson Silva or Edson Barboza, has power but not Ngannou power.. for those reasons he probably will never be a huge draw. How many of the top draws were ever 2 division champs? GSP was but he wasn't until his final fight and was already a massive draw long before then. Conor, but again, he was already a huge draw. Rousey, Liddell, Lesnar, Silva, Adesanya etc.. none of them were 2 division champs. Nunes was and she couldn't draw flies to shit. 2 division champ does not matter.
Francis wasn't any type of draw or a star and he had the power you mentioned, I'm not sure it really has anything to do with that. Silva wasn't a star until he fought Chael. The UFC simply doesn't promote fights anymore outside of a conference here and there and some youtube videos.

I can tell you one thing for sure - if he fights/beats Jon Jones he will be the biggest MMA star in the world instantly.
