"Key Concepts:

  1. Respect for Everyone's Path:The person believes that anyone who finds their way in life and is happy, even in a job some might see as "small" (like a shift leader at McDonald's), deserves respect.
    • Example: They specifically mention someone who has worked at McDonald's for 5 years and seems happy. The speaker says "good fi him" (good for him), showing they respect this person's happiness and life choice.
  2. Not Putting People on a Pedestal:The speaker doesn't look up to anyone as if they are perfect or better than others. They see everyone as just regular people.
    • Example: They say, "mi nuh put nobadi on a pedestal fam mi see wi all as ppl" (I don't put anybody on a pedestal, friend, I see us all as people). This means they don't think celebrities, rich people, or anyone in a high position is inherently better than anyone else.
  3. Strong Negative Feelings Towards Certain People:There are some people the speaker strongly dislikes, referring to them metaphorically as "lizards." They suggest they would react negatively if they met these people in real life.
    • Example: The phrase "cept sum ppl weh lizards dem finna catch a no measure tho if mi see dem irl ☝🏿🚫📐🙋🏿‍♂️💥 no cap" is harder to understand directly, but the emojis and strong language suggest intense dislike. "Lizards" is likely a negative term they use for these individuals. The emojis (pointing, crossed-out measuring tool, raising hand, explosion) imply a potential confrontation or strong reaction if they were to meet these people. "No cap" means they are being serious.
In simpler terms, the person is saying:

"I respect anyone who finds happiness in their life, even if their job isn't seen as glamorous. For example, the happy shift leader at McDonald's. I don't think anyone is better than anyone else. However, there are some people I really dislike (who I call 'lizards'), and I would have a problem if I met them in person.""

appreciate yuh king 🫵🏿👑

I would actually have to meet them in person for it to be genuine

David Attenborough.

I respect a lot of them.

Admire a bunch as well. Bryson DeChambeau and Scottie Scheffler being among the top of the celebrity category

There's really not many that I truly respect and admire.

Keanu Reeves is one. He seems to be a truly humble and kind person.

Robert Plant is another. I'm a died-in-the-wool Led-Head. The fact that he turned down a massive payday to follow his muse, to me, is highly respectable.

There are very few more, but I'll keep them to myself.

It's hard to truly admire or respect someone I don't know. Are we talking about their talents, or them as a person?

LOL @ American pansy sports thinking they hold a candle to these monsters...

Most of you cans wouldn't be able to throw a punch on flat ground, let alone skates.

Show some respect.

George Clooney. Don't agree with his politics, but he actually uses his clout and fortune to do proactively positive things for the world.
