I know he is retired but there was a lot of talk in the past that Ortega was a dangerous fight for Khabib and as you’ve seen he couldn’t even submit Volk so what were his chance against the best grappler ever?

Honestly the best chance he has is Khabib breaks both his hands on Ortegas face and is forced to quit.

Considering Nurmagomedov is retired, I'm guessing Ortega has no chance of submitting him.

Yeah to be held down and beat on like a door mat

Ortega doesn’t need more brain damage. Between Max and Volk they took years off his life and fighting career

Imagine it was Ortega instead of Poirier with that guillotine locked in.

He has slick BJJ and a bit of power. As long as he translates like Dustin going up, he could definitely be a threat. He probably just gets smashed though.

Ortega's game would be sick if he had one punch KO power. Since he doesn't have that, I see most of his fights being 5 round wars where he is on the (slight) losing end. Right now he is about where Michael Bisping was in the middle of his career.

Ortega's BJJ, as good as it is, would just give him a shot in the dark chance at best. Khabib is very smart about positioning and would absolutely man handle him and would be able to almost entirely avoid any potentially dodgy positions. He get just as dominated in that fight as he did against Max.

nope. he would get tunred into a lumpy bloody mess again. You arent subbing shit when khabib sits on your legs and shits all over you against the cage.
