That it didn’t help his case at all? When u r dehydrated your mental state is very fragile so is it possible that his reaction to the official weight in shook him and gave him flashbacks of past failed attempts? It made him look guilty because he acted so relieved when he made weight! Does dehydration make one this fragile or am i reaching?

nope. He has always had bad weight cuts. His recovery has been top notch. My guess, IV.
