Do the UFC still give “backroom bonuses”?

I thought this was kinda exposed as a myth when the whole Reebok deal went down. A lot of fighters said what bonuses ?

How can people savvy enough to be on this website still be so uninformed?

How do they do these 'backroom bonuses' ?
Basically sounds like gift money.
Unless you are getting multiple checks from multiple people, it's a tax disaster.
Gift tax is no joke.

If the UFC is cheap as they say, they would never do that.
Unless they are giving straight cash, which the fighter would have to pay taxes on immediately if he/she went to deposit that 'bonus' into the bank

UFC paid 13% in 2015 & 17% in 2016 to fighters
So base your judgment on that as far as "cheap"
They certainly can pay more

They don't give cash (never did)
the Fertittas are old school Italia & own casinos, so they pay low & tip high.
They used that format in UFC.
They would pay fighters extra if the night was good & fighters gave them a "thank you".
it is a form of power.

WME cut a lot of that out, but pay more in guarantees.
If that means they pay more/less over-all %, we don't know yet.

But one thing is 100% true ... AC reports are not accurate as to what a final pay-out is.

Again ... UFC can pay more ... no doubt, but going by AC reports is not an accurate way to state the case.

Might have been a fertita thing since I haven't heard any fighter mention them in a while.

Well it shut everybody up for about 10 mins. Until you opened your big dumb mouth, and attracted all the perverts back in in here, with their inappropriate comments.

This is Sherdog. Welcome.

Someone with a username of "Boygeorge" should be the last person offended by some butt sex remarks. ....

Pretty sure Sage gets all the backdoor boners

I'm pretty confident this went away with the sale. WME IMG have been tightening everything up and you never see Dana give an extra FOTN bonus or anything anymore either. He's even split the whole pot when he couldn't seperate people rather than just add another.

cant believe you didnt call yourself "BoyGeorges", now THAT would have been a good username

but yeah back on topic, it seems more like dana makes the fighters give the locker room bonuses these days, seems to be working out for mackenzie dern who keeps missing weight and keeps getting pushed all the same. "I think she looks fine with the extra weight, isnt she awesome?"

Cheap WME probably nixed to a roar of applause from the finance-fans pretending to be fight-fans

It's only available through Geocaching for fighters with metro pcs..
