I was watching Luke Thomas’ podcast (big mistake, I know) but he simultaneously complained that Askren got more money from boxing while saying that Triller lost money on the event. The event was put together to promote some app apparently.

All the Triller fight proves is that Askren didn’t deserve anywhere near 500k since the company didn’t break even. The UFC was paying him the right amount.

If Triller isn’t a front for money laundering, then I’m not a 6ft 7, 250lb with 0% body fat shredded Sherbro.

Triller spent money on Justin Bieber, other musical acts, celebrity commentators and a bunch of other stuff though.

Not sure how one determines what Ben Askren deserves to make. You act like it was your money being paid out. The event made something like 60 plus million. Being part of the main event 500k seems about right.

Isn't Triller just a B-grade TikTok? I have never heard of Triller until these circus fights

Askren didn't just make 500k, he is getting a cut of the PPV. And I doubt that Triller lost money when they sold 1.5 million PPVs at $49.99 a pop

The event might have been sh*t for MMA hardcores, Boxing purists etc. But for Gen Z and most casuals it was the "coolest" thing in the world. I personally could not care less and enjoyed the circus.

Yeah, while there are strong arguments out there in favor of higher fighter pay in the UFC, Triller boxing's payouts aren't a strong one. They overpay on everything, so they can't be used as a measuring stick for other promotions.

They offered Teofimo Lopez some crazy amount of money that was like twice or thrice that of the second and third bidders:

    https://www.ringtv.com/618162-trill...-stage-teofimo-lopez-v-george-kambosos-fight/

Triller, the entertainment platform which is a rival to TikTok, bid $6.018M. That beat the bid put in by Eddie Hearn and Matchroom, which was $3.56.M.

Bob Arum and Top Rank bid $2.315M. After the bidding ended, Arum was asked for thoughts on the Triller win. “Insane price,” he told me.

These dudes are overpaying even by boxing standards, and their decisions make no sense from a purely economic standpoint, so it's pointless to make comparisons with them. Of course they paid Askren money he'd never make in MMA. I also don't believe they sold 1.5m PPVs, that sounds completely made up.

Every "celebrity" that performed on that card is an open Luciferian if you know what symbolism to look for (Including Jake Paul).
Ben Askren could feel it and even commented on it although he didn't actually know what he was looking at.
Hidden in plain sight is how they roll.

Just like Netflix passing out $100 million dollar deals to people like the Obama's.
They will never recoup that investment in a thousand years but that isn't the point.
It's paying off their uppermiddle tier goons with dark money.

Well, that little Bieber guy who can't sing his way out of a paper bag for starters.

One of the best boxers in the world, get a clue.

Avatar and username check out <TheWire1>

But I agree that I have no clue what Triller is doing, I feel like they're using the boxing platform to promote something else, but I have no idea what. No one uses that shitty app. I doubt they're making any money with this whole scheme, they just spend too much.

Some Mexican who beat a part time dancer can manlet that boxing fans consider one of their GOATs.
