Do Shogun and Rashad have the most common opponents...

Is it not possible to get more than 8??

Sakuraba - Hendo:

Rampage
Wanderlei
Arona
Allan Goes
Lil Nog
Renzo Gracie
Belfort
Carlos Newton

Edit: Got 9

Wanderlei - Vovchanchyn:

Sakuraba
Rampage
Yvel
Otsuka
Crocop
Kondo
Nakamura
Bob Schrijber
Matsui

Damn, props. I sure wasn't going to get it haha.

Are we talking about the same Rashad that recently lost to Lil-Nog and ran all night against Dan Henderson?

His beating Sonnen doesn't prove much as Sonnen is a known quitter.

...ummmm didn't that known quitter tax Shogun's ass in less than a round?

Shogun/Rashad is a stylistic mismatch. Shogun would get taken down and get put into zombie mode like he always does when he's forced to grapple for an extended period of time.

Tito Ortiz and Rich Franklin 8

Chuck Liddell
Ken Shamrock
Matt Hammil
Evan Tanner
Wanderlei Silva
Lyoto Machida
Vitor Belfort
Forrest Griffin

Injury riddled MW gets beat by a talented HW and you consider this embarrassing :icon_conf

Woah. You just went full retard.

The only person on that list who ever fought at MW was Chael.

Ruas a 'natural' heavyweight, and we all saw how that HW vs MW fight went.

Shogun imo is on the decline and a title shot is something I don't see him getting again, Rashad on the other hand is still a top 4-5 LHW imo, I would pick him to beat both Gus and DC. This fight wouldn't help Rashad in his climb up te LHW again, so no I rather see him fight DC.

I was so upset when Evans had to drop out of the Shogun fight. It essentially was a chance for him to hold the title one more time before Jones took it. I definitely think Evans could've beat Shogun too.

Shogun was a MW in that fight? Never would've known.
