I know it depends on your genetics but I've had a small one on my leg that is a year old and is still pretty pink. Flat scar, not raised.

What is your experience with these things?

It stays forever. No woman will ever want to be with you ever again after they see it.

Depend on how big they are.

I got 2 pretty huge scars (3-4 inches long x 1 inche wide) on my back from 10 years ago.
That shit is never going away.

    ( I went thru a window, don't ask )

How long did it take to fade?
    Fuck man

    Are they still bright red/pink?

If they're massive then have you tried laser treatments?

Yea, they fade in time normally. Always fun if you get a tan , they tend to be a bit obviously. Luckily my worst ones are hidden under a beard.

Oh, within about a year or two tops.
The one over my left eye from boxing took the longest at two years. As did the one on my scalp over my right ear from a bottle of Jack Daniels. My surgery scars on my knees & on my neck faded fast though. Within about a year.

It will fade and be barely noticeable. I have one going from my chest down the past my belly button, it’s been 15 years and you can’t really see it anymore.

    that’s a surgical scar though.
