Gonzaga, Kongo, Mir, Schaub, and Nelson could have all beaten him in 03 and 04. He would be the favorite against most of these guys but lets not act like he didn't lose all the time.
Randleman of all people ko'd him
8-7 Mark Hunt decisioned him
Nog subbed him after being on the ground for about 10 seconds
Fedor, a sloppy(yet effective) brawler managed to outstruck the guy
Wanderlei, a LHW, took him to a draw
Cro Cop was not some indestructible killing machine who walked through everyone. Its a myth.
Dude come on. Really?
Randleman caught him with a 1-in-a-million shot with all the power of a double-leg behind it. Would've dropped anyone and it caught everyone off guard. Randleman was a very powerful and dangerous fighter in his day.
Cro Cop fought after 2 long battles with Barnett and Fedor leading into it, and he had a broken foot. Mark was a beast and outstruck him on the feet.
Minotauro's corner had water all over the floor where he cornered Mirko and took him down (intentionally in that spot) after CC kicked the shit out of him and then subbed him. Noguiera is an ATG and a submission master.
Fedor put on a masterful performance in that fight and in his day had one of the most technical and complete striking games in the sport. The guy was not a brawler either. Chris Leben is a brawler. Fedor is not. Worlds of difference between them and anyone should know this.
Wanderlei was at the peak of his game, Mirko had like 3 fights in his career and a huge grappling disadvantage. The fact that he wasn't subbed is pretty crazy (but they did have special rules).
Got any more? Cro Cop at his peak was an absolute assassin who beat some of the best and also lost to some of the best. It happens to them all. Guy is still a Combat Sports legend and one of the best to ever do it.
