Do men go along with having kids just to see how it plays out?

Theres no biological clock for men, so is it fair to say men have kids just to get the full experience of life?

Or are they forced to?

What is the true reason?
Unless you consider changing diapers, getting little sleep and dealing with teenagers "full experience of life".

Humans have an inmate drive to reproduce, men or women. How you deal with your offspring depends if you are a responsible father or a deadbeat dad.

I don't know, I don't fancy being a father. Maybe when the time comes. Who knows?

My longest friend and his wife are having their first kid at 45

They met during the pandemic

I'm happy for them, hoping everything works out.
I have some cousins that way, they scoffed at the idea of kids until they were 45, 46, 47, now, they have five children between them, it's pretty wild having kids so late, but when the biological urge starts, it calls hard.

Geriatric pregnancy and then some....

i think its reasonable i can digitally transfer my consciousness to an even more superior clone of my myself in my lifetime so having kids doesnt have the same appeal it used to

I think for most men it starts with a combination of feeling ripe for it and wanting a family, as well as pressure from GF/wife. In my case I was rather relaxed about it. But now that I am a father a adore my children.

I subconsciously always wanted kids. It's not as hard as some people make it out to be. Little fella just turned two, cute as a button.

My wife convinced me and now having two children brings me more joy than all the other cool things I do and have.

Your older years are boring if you don't have children and grandchildren. I feel really bad for people who don't have kids.
