(note to foreigners: HoF = Hall of Fame)

These 2 guys are HoF level fighters. They never fought in the UFC though.

In addition to being HoF level fighters, they also co-founded Pancrase. So, they're like Dana Whites that can fight at a HoF level. We've seen guys being inducted into the UFC HoF for business accomplishments before, like the Tapout guys. These guys belong in on both a fighting level and a business level.

In my opinion, if the UFC wants to be recognized as the defining league of MMA like the NFL is football and NBA is basketball, their HoF should really just be the MMA hall of fame.

"
Guy Mezger called Funaki "hands down the smartest and most skilled fighter in Pancrase next to Ken Shamrock".

Frank Shamrock added, "I know for a fact those guys (Funaki and Suzuki) were light years ahead of everyone else, and they were so good that they would go towards entertainment before they finished a match."

Would they even want to be? I can't imagine being in the same hall as Charles "Mask" Lewis would have much worth to Japanese MMA pioneers.

How big is your willy? I'm very envious of men with the big willies. I got a tiny Asian pecker that's like the size of an erect clit.
Are you half Asian and also suck at math? I feel sorry for you getting the worst gene combo :(

No, since it´s the UFC HOF, not the MMA HOF.

it's sad that MMA is viewed as such a joke of a sport that it doesn't even have its own HOF. Just whoever Dana wants to put into his own for whatever agenda he is pushing that week.

Guys like Funaki absolutely deserve to be recognized for what they have done for the sport, but, most fans of MMA nowadays care very little for the sport itself nor its history. Hard to ever get guys like him in now considering nobody will care who they were. I remember going to the HOF introduction for Maurice Smith and I shit you not, about 80% of the people near me had no idea who he was or why he was being inducted into the HOF. They were there thinking Conor would be there lol

Maybe once Dana is done, whoever owns the UFC at that point will actually make a non-partisan HOF.

When they make an Universal MMA HOF...

The irony is that Maurice, recently inducted, went through Early Pancrase, got his ass kicked but learnt a lot there and made the right connections there for his future teams & cross-training.

Might as well throw in Takada and Andre the Giant.
