Yes, when 1) they put together really impressive performances and/or 2) the main card turns out to be a stinker.

Yes. Both of them were awarded to preliminary guys on the last card.

there's this website called wikipedia. you should look into it.

    Last 3 events:

UFC 182: Both POTN bonuses went to undercard fighters

Machida/Dolloway: 4 POTN bonuses were handed out. Only one went to a guy on the prelims (first fight of the night)

Dos Santos/Miocic: 1/2 POTN bonuses went to a guy on the prelims (first fight of the night)

so to answer your question, yes.

They used to get them fairly frequently when it was Sub/KO of the Night. But now that it's the vague "Performance" the UFC gets to pretend its only for the top fighters.

I think about a year after POTN system was introduced instead of SOTN/KOTN, there was an article on bloodyelbow (or somewhere else maybe) with statistic about the bonus structure.

Main-carders get it more often and main/co-main eventers get it the most, but guys on the undercard do get it too, sometimes, as a lot of people have already told you so.

C'mon chief. You can't whittle away the questions with answers readily available elsewhere. The only conversations left over would require tin-foil hats, holocaust denials, and "Truther" tattoos.
