Is this just something built into animals/humans/etc.? We are allowed to have dogs in our office. Most of the dogs are chill and cool. But the biggest asshole dogs are the tiny little annoying dogs. They bark and yap cause all sorts of pain in the ass issues. Meanwhile the big dogs just chill out and relax and then get wound up to play but they never bark or yap at people. Is it the same as "little man" syndrome?

Yes little dogs have a Napoleon complex, its pretty common
Its funny to watch my moms tiny little dog go ape shit and viciously bark and try to attack my yuge monster bully every time he comes to visit
My bully doesnt even notice it and just lays there bored or slightly amused while the little dog is running around frothing at the mouth, cursing his mother and threatening to beat him into a living death in dog language

Are you calling us out? @Zer @shadow_priest_x @Pugilistic

I've never seen any Chihuhuas or poddles at the gym hitting the weights

Are you looking for a confirmation of a generalization out of a solo example, or do you want to learn how to teach a dog ?

Confirmation of my generalization based on my limited sample size would be best.

I read something a dog trainer wrote, he said that it's a good thing when small dogs are more assertive because they're less likely to be seen as prey and hurt by the bigger dogs.

So who knows, maybe it's part evolutionary. Probably part fucked up temperament due to inbred genetics as well.

I think a Game Chihuahua can take a Game Pit.

Little dogs are also fucked genetically. Imagine the kind of human you'd get if you made beetlejuice fuck his sisters, and then bred the offspring together until they're about 1/8 the size they're supposed to be. That's how pugs were created.

Little dogs feel vulnerable and weak, so they need to feel strong by being obnoxious and aggressive. Most big dogs are chill because they aren't as threatened. Look at how an elephant is, they are confident as fuck. People are the same but and a lot of small dudes are like that, but I think with people, their mentality is a bigger factor. There are also a lot of dudes in all shapes and sizes who are insecure in their masculinity so they easily feel threatened.

Toy/lap dogs are an abomination of the wolf bloodline.

Chihuahuas are hellspawn.

I have a big Rott mix that I take to the dog park. The "little dog" park is separated from the "big dog" park by a chain link fence.

The little dogs are always at the fence completely losing their shit barking at the big dogs and the big dogs pretty much ignore them or just stand there looking at them calmly doing this...
