If they can go in there and show the judge and jury videos of his brutal knockout losses.

Obviously Diego consented to fight, fully knowing the risks that were associated.

How could they expect to get any money from the UFC?

Every MMA fighter is risking their brain when they take shots to the head.

Boxers too. it’s part of the game.

What is their argument?

Is the UFC negligent in some way? Did he suffer unnecessary damage? Did they let him fight for too long? Did they bribe the commission to help him pass the pre fight testing?

I remember Bisping and Colby talked about how the UFC would send them out to special doctors would coach them how to pass the pre fight physicals or write them a phony recommendation for Bisping saying he could fight when he was blind in one eye.

But Bisping wanted to fight and is a company man and wouldn’t bite the hand that fed him.

Dana's not putting a gun to your head to fight

no

1. he chose to pursue that profession
2. UFC got medical clearances
3. he always signed off with feeling ok
4. damage could have occurred in camp
5. was paid his final pay and released

What more could UFC do other then require medicals and verbal\written clearance from the fighter ?

its like playing in a soccer game and crying cause you got kicked

Hes going to end up owing the UFC legal fees like Ken Shamrock owing Dana 175k

(He never paid it)

If the UFC is bribing commissions or knowingly getting injured fighters through physicals meant to prohibit fighters from fighting when suffering from significant injuries, then yeah they should be liable.
But if we are saying that the UFC can be sued because a fighter or fighters suffered long term health problems as a result of a fighting career, I think it could kill MMA, and perhaps all combat sports, as far as the US goes.
So to me those are two very distinct issues.

As far as whether they let Diego fight too long, it's worth noting that he wanted to fight against Cowboy and they said no.

I mean if he can, then couldnt anyone?

They didnt sign up to be beaten in the head for free. They were paid for it.

No argument. That's why in the history of combat sports it hasn't happened. Plus waivers and medicals. No case.

Plus Diego's situation has more involved than just fighting. This is someone who went through a break up and found Fabia and just got cut from UFC because of Fabia. Cerrone has touched on their relationship a bit which isn't a surprise to many. But to blame Diego's situation simply because he fought in the UFC is wrong. Diego's situation is the way it is because of the stuff that happened in his personal life and what is currently happening with Fabia.

Dana also said he didnt think he could get a comission to sign off on Conor fighting Diego, and dismissed the idea entirely.

He probably has an excellent case if he can obtain all of his medical papers before the UFC tampers with them. UFC is hiding something if they are not freely giving up his medical records since working for the UFC. His records probably show multiple concussions and if the UFC knew about them and let him continue to fight for them they are in big trouble.

He was already weird on TUF1
Remember when he went out in a thunder storm to gather energy or some shit from the thunder?
and its gone down hill ever since.

IF Diego and Fabia has a case..
It could be bad for all martial art and fight sport.
Imagine all the boxers with damages.
