Personally I still feel like we are at a premature age in regards to training for MMA. There are soo many variables to take into consideration during a fight, that I think coaches still have not even covered any of the key areas. (striking, cardio, grappling, etc). For example lets look at boxing, it is a sport with a lot of history and if you look at someone like Mayweather he has managed to understand everything there is. .Is like he figured everything out and breaks it down to a science, he knows what to do at certain distances, when to attack, foot position for defense against the rope or off the rope, you get the idea. He literally master the sport of boxing in all aspects.

Now with MMA, is always fun to look back at things in hindsight because you than realized how dumb and stupid some camps look. Like are they just going with bro science and saying hey this should improve your cardio, because it helps baseball players LOL. Take a look here.

Note: if current time did not work go to the 19:33 Mark

Conor was APPARENTLY training for a 5 round war, according to his strength and conditioning he was in incredible shape. Come fight time and he gets gassed from throwing hay makers. What is this, did the training just suck, was the training done too soon or too late during camp. Like why are couches not getting more scientific with MMA training this is crucial. Conor was a big critic of the training people do in MMA, but it seems he might also be a victim of that circle.

Anyways leave your thoughts if you think MMA coaches suck and if not, you can share any coaches that are doing a good job.

Not all coaches are bad. Edmond definitely knows what he is doing.

Edmond, Ido, Kavanahagaha, Dolce... they are amazing.
Part of why I love MMA, it is all messed up on crazy people taking advice from other people like them.
Even the announcers, promoters... literally everyone is out of place.
